"If we wait until our children are in school to make active play, and healthy eating the standard, we have missed our greatest opportunity."

GoFar Childcare encourages and supports childcare providers to learn more about increasing healthy eating and active living.

Childcare providers are nurturing choices and habits that will last a lifetime. By setting high standards for physical activity and healthy eating, you are growing strong minds and bodies.

Be a model environment in which children can learn, live, eat and play for a healthy future. Create physical activity and nutrition policies/standards at your childcare site. Inform parents: help them gain knowledge and parenting skills around healthy eating and active living. Signing up for GoFar Childcare will provide you the resources and ideas to create a healthy childcare!

Objectives
  • Provide 1-2 hours of physical activity every day.
