Scholarship Grants/Funds

diploma
Scholarship Grants are awarded to select institutions of higher education in DMF's service area to address current healthcare workforce needs. Bachelor of Science-Nursing scholarships funded by DMF are available through the University of North Dakota, North Dakota State University, Concordia College, and Minnesota State University-Moorhead.

Scholarship Funds are created by individuals, families, schools, and other organizations to provide financial assistance to qualified students in pursuit of higher education in health-related fields. The Foundation works with institutions of higher education to administer Scholarship Funds. The University of North Dakota administers two DMF medical school scholarships: the Mack V. Traynor, MD, Scholarship Fund and the Robert G. Rogers, MD, Scholarship Fund:
  • The Mack V. Traynor, MD, Scholarship Fund was established by Dr. Traynor's children. Dr. Traynor, an internal medicine specialist, practiced in Fargo for more than 38 years.
  • The Robert G. Rogers, MD, Scholarship Fund was established by his family. Dr. Rogers was an original founder of DMF and a highly skilled surgeon in Fargo.
Interested students may contact the identified institutions regarding these scholarships.
